During 2020 God gave us a vision: a revival sweeping the country, radically impacting drug addicts and bringing the hope of Jesus to the hurting and struggling. With that in mind and with the support of people like you, we launched “The Story Tour’ and held events in churches, high schools, and community centers across the Northeast USA.. Each event is a one-night musical journey featuring the hope-filled original music of ASB, live speakers, powerful testimonies & teaching, times of ministry and God stories from across the USA. Stories of freedom from addiction, shame and suicide. Stories of amazing healings and restored marriages. All designed to communicate one idea:

With Jesus, your story isn't over!

At our Spring 24 events, the altars were full, with many making first time decisions for Christ! And many others flooded the altars to receive prayer and help for their brokenness. At our very first event in 2021 we helped one man throw away drugs and alcohol. We recently heard that he is still clean & sober today! We hear countless stories of how God has used The Story Tour to help bring freedom into people’s lives. And it’s all been possible because of your prayers and financial support. So thank you!

Through Fall of 24, The Story Tour will have traveled 30k+ miles to 75 cities in 17 states. Every season is a huge step of faith for us. While we keep our expenses as low as possible, each event still costs us over $12,000 in marketing, auditorium rental fees, gas, food, lodging and people costs for our team of 11. We recoup some of our costs through ticket and product sales at the events, but because we keep our ticket prices low, we rarely recover our event costs. We’re asking for your help to make our fall 24/spring 25 Story Tour and prison events possible.

In addition we would need to update our transportation. And we need your help! We currently travel in a 2013 van with 155k miles on it, Allan’s personal truck and two trailers carrying around 12,000 lbs of resources and equipment. Our goal is to purchase a bus in 2025, which will allow us to travel longer distances, and reach locations and people in the USA that are currently harder for us to reach.

We’re also launching The Story Tour podcast! An online resource that will be able to be watched on youtube and heard on all streaming platforms. The podcast will highlight stories of those who have seen God do impossible things in their lives! Many receive Jesus at our events. It is our heart to be able to speak into their lives and provide encouraging recovery-based, Jesus-centered resources that can bring hope and discipleship long after we have left a city. We also want to reach a whole new group of addicted and hurting people who have never been to a Story Tour event with the hope of Jesus.

We want to see a revival in the lives of the addicted, hurting and struggling. As far as we know, we are the only ministry with a dedicated national touring event solely for the marginalized. Jesus cares about people in low places, and so do we!

In a study of 5,412 people, conducted by the CDC in July of 2020, 1 out of 4 people said they had thought about committing suicide during the 30 days preceding the survey. 13.3% said they were coping with the pandemic by using drugs and alcohol.*

Domestic abuse numbers have skyrocketed. Addiction is on the rise. Overdoses are rampant. Suicides are on the rise. Virtually every bad metric is up. But Jesus brings change and hope. And we believe that people need to hear the message, that with Jesus, their story isn’t over!

That’s why we believe the mission of Found & Favored Ministries & ‘The Story Tour’ is more important TODAY, and this year, than ever before.

We can’t do it without you! ‘The Story Tour’ is a ticketed event with ticket prices kept intentionally low. Large groups of tickets are given away to those in drug rehabs and to those who can’t afford them but want to come (around 30-40% of total tickets).

Many times, there locations where we absorb the cost of the show, in order to reach people in a certain area.

One of the challenges we face in booking the event is finding a host partner. Many don’t have the space or resources needed, or their schedule is already full with other important projects. With that in mind, we’ve begun scheduling events, sponsored solely by Found & Favored Ministries, in neutral locations. (We will continue to partner with host ministries as those opportunities present themselves). We’re finding that we have a great response and higher attendance in these neutral settings, as those who wouldn’t enter the doors of a church often feel comfortable visiting their local high school. A neutral location also allows many ministries to come together, so people who receive or who are returning to Jesus can get plugged into numerous sources right away. It’s a win for local ministries, for us, and for “banged-up” people.

In 2024, 50% of our events are being held in theaters or high school auditoriums. We always have to rent these facilities however, and this comes with an added cost. The average rental fee is about $2000. We want to go to the places where we are needed the most, even if a location can’t pay us, or we have to pay for a location. In Fall of 24 we will hold 18 events, and in Spring of 25 we will hold another 20 events in the locations where Jesus is needed most. In addition, we will be visiting new parts of the country, venturing out into many new southern and midwestern USA cities.

We will also be visiting 6 prisons in January of 25!

While we keep our expenses as low as possible, each event still costs us over $12,000. This includes thousands of marketing dollars per event. We want everyone to know when we are coming to a city. There are also auditorium rental fees, gas, food, lodging and people costs for our team of 11.. We will recoup some of our costs through ticket and product sales at the events, but because our ticket prices are low, we rarely recover our event costs.

In addition we need to update our transportation situation. As of Fall 24, we will have traveled over 30,211 miles to 75 cities in the Northeast (and a few in the south) USA, and it’s time for us to bring The Story Tour to other parts of the country, where longer distances of travel are required. The most practical way for us to do this, is in a bus that is able to haul our 14,000 lbs of equipment, and where the team can eat and sleep in between shows. This greatly reduces our travel time by eliminating travel dates/hotel stops in between shows, reduces team fatigue, and allows us to get farther away from our home base in Pennsylvania to reach more people.

Lastly, we are launching The Story Tour podcast where we will be highlighting amazing stories of how God has worked powerfully in peoples lives. Our goal is to reach a whole new group of hurting and addicted people on the internet with the hope of Jesus!

We greatly appreciate your prayers and physical support. Would you please consider giving a gift to The Story Tour today? When you do, you will be the hands and feet of Jesus in the lives of those who may be addicted, hurting or incarcerated. Thank you!

Between the Fall 24/Spring of 25 we will be holding 38 Story Tour events and another 6 prison events. We are also traveling longer distances to reach new people, In states like NC, SC, GA, FL, AL, TN, KY, MO and more!

We plan on venturing states like Texas and the west coast as we see how things develop for the ministry and as transportation allow.

It is our goal to raise $185,000 to help cover expenses for our Fall 2024/Spring 25 TST and prison events, purchase a used bus and buy audio and video equipment for the podcast.

All funds will be used in the following ways:

Offsetting Low Ticket Prices / Free Tickets To Those In Need / Purchasing a Bus / Prison Events / Creating Jesus-Centered Recovery-Based Content / Tour Promotions / Travel Expenses / Auditorium Rental Costs / Personnel Costs / New Music

Goal #1: $129,000 - VAN ONLY

This option keeps us traveling in the Northeast USA, with a couple trips into the south and midwest. Since most of the team is bi-vocational, we are limited in how far and how long we can keep the team out on the road, but will be as creative as possible in trying to reach other parts of the country.

COST BREAKDOWN:

$45,000 – New Van:  In this scenario, we would continue to do the majority of traveling in a van and Allan’s personal truck. We need to replace our current van. It is a 2013 Ford E350 passenger van that has been modified to haul a heavy trailer. It currently has 150,000 miles on it. We need a reliable similar model van, and we estimate the cost to be $45,000 with a few modifications like helper struts, a towing package (we haul 14,000 lbs of equipment and supplies)  and slotted and drilled brakes to help us safely tow trailers.

$34,000 – Fall Events: We have 20 events costing a total of $282,000, and after tour generated income, we will have a deficit of roughly $34,000.

$25,000 – Spring Events: We estimate this to be our deficit after doing 15 events.

$25,000 – Travis Habbershon: We would like to hire Travis (our tour pastor) full-time to start helping us create recovery web-based content, devotionals, books and podcasts featuring other stories that are not in the show. It’s always been our dream that The Story Tour/Found & Favored Ministries to be more than a touring event, but be able to provide resources year around to people who are struggling and incarcerated. Recently, God has updated things in Travis’s life to make working full time for The Story Tour feasible. And we’d like to make it a reality!

Goal #2: $215,000 - RENT BUS/NATIONAL TOUR

This would allow us to make a trip across the country, hit 7 cities on the way out west, and then another 8 cities going up the West Coast. We could then supplement our travel dates in the Northeast USA with our van, trailers, and Allan’s personal truck.

COST BREAKDOWN:

$82,689 – Tour Bus Rental Midwest/West Coast (15 shows)Here’s a link to an estimate that we received

Goal #3: $249,000 - We own the bus

We own the bus and can make longer trips in shorter amounts of time, and do so repeatedly. For example, we could leave on a Tue eve, play 5 shows, travel as far away as Denver and be back by the following Tuesday morning. A comparable trip to Denver in a van playing 5 shows would put us out for almost two weeks, because we would have to stay in hotels, and travel in between shows. With a bus and driver, we’d travel overnight while the crew sleeps, and can be at a new venue each day. Less travel days and hotel breaks. Yay!

COST BREAKDOWN:

$165,000 – Tour Bus: We’d shoot for a used bus with under 500,000 miles. Probably model year 2000-2005. These diesel engines will run for 1 million miles. And even then, the engine can be replaced. We plan to use this bus for years to come. A bus will allow us to travel longer distances in shorter amounts of time. This is great for our families, and also means we can reach more people in locations that are further away. Another added benefit: it will help reduce team fatigue while on the road!

$34,000 – Fall Events: We have 20 events costing a total of $282,000, and after tour generated income, we will have a deficit of roughly $34,000.
